The 20th edition of the Maratona di Roma (Rome Marathon): Sunday 23 March 2014, starting at 9.00 from Via dei Fori Imperiali. About 60,000 runners (all ability ranges) are expected to take part.

Route
The marathon route includes the EternalCity’s most beautiful streets, such as the Fori Imperiali, St. Peter’s, San Paolo Fuori le Mura, Piazza Venezia, Bocca della Verità, Castel Sant’Angelo, Foro Italico, Piazza di Spagna and the Trevi Fountain. The old city centre shall therefore be closed to traffic.
